The reason why I say it is you should find a camp, a place to stay, where you have something to eat, water to drink etc, and where people will come to ask for water, so this is a place you are likely to stay for a long time and I would suggest you make a point in this area to do some digging, finding old houses that have no walls to the outside, for example a couple of small houses that have been abandoned and are left standing on the sides, or find a place to dig or dig holes.
You are likely to find some sort of shelter and food, and this can become your main source of income for a long time (and this may become difficult for you in a village in the middle of a war).
I would recommend going to the city centre, the Toulon train station, where you can visit any shops, and also try to go along the street and find the nearest bus station.
