It was a valuable lesson in patience and persistence, but one that we would rather have skipped over. Despite this hiccup, I have to admit that Camping Municipal de Montech is a pretty decent campsite overall. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, with plenty of amenities to keep you entertained during your stay. However, I would recommend bringing along some waterproof gear - just in case!
My biggest tip for future campers would be to pack plenty of snacks and drinks, as the nearest supermarket is a good 10-mile drive away. Also, be prepared to deal with some noisy neighbors - our tent was located right next to a group of rowdy teenagers who partied all night long. All in all, Camping Municipal de Montech is worth a visit, but just make sure you're fully stocked up on snacks and have your waterproof gear ready for any unexpected River Crossing Dilemmas!
