You should also have a water bottle and drink water every night if needed - this gives your body time to replenish water. If you have a tent you should also have a fire - it is very good for keeping a fire going.
The tent is your friend - you shouldn't be too far from your family to get them a meal - if you get too crowded you will be in a bit of a pickle.You should also have a couple of portable toilet brushes, and some toilet paper for those times when you don't want a leaky toilet.
If you can't afford it to buy a tent you can make one yourself and just put some poles and stuff around it and hang it to see how long it stays put.
The tent is great as it is just as good as a regular tent, with a few extra features. If you are going for a camping trip you may have your doubts as you do not have a tent - however if you are just wanting to camp for a couple of days then it makes for a great investment.
