Camp Randall is located at the western edge of the round campground, the most northerly campground on the round. It's a nice little area with lots of trees, but not many places to rest, cook, and camp.The first few nights are spent getting warmed up and getting some rest in the hammock.
When you finally get off the trail it's just a short hike up a rocky dirt hill that will take you to a campground. There can be some great wildlife in the area and if you enjoy nature it might also be worth going for an overnight at some of the more remote campsites. There's no real campgrounds on Gloster Bend, only a few campgrounds in the vicinity on Gloster Bend, all with lots of shade and a nice view.
You could have a fantastic day hiking through a beautiful, warm, shady valley while enjoying some of the views of the mountains beyond.Gloster Bend is in the northwest corner of this campground. It's on the north side of the round.
If you are interested in staying overnight in a tent on this campground, be sure you check out the Round Rock Mountain Trail before making your decision.
There's lots of great camping in this area but if there aren't places that look like camp Randall on the map it is highly unlikely you will find someone to help you set up your tent. It might be wise to ask one of the other users what campsites are nearby and then make a reservation.
There is a campground just up the road that is open every weekend from mid-May through the end of September. They are known for having good food, showers, and restrooms. They also have campfires, pit toilets, and a swimming pool.
They are at the end of the road, and not on the lake.
You can also check the campsite map for Round Rock . This is a very nice map of the campground as well. There is a lot of nice hiking and camping in Gloster Bend, you could even spend the night at a nearby fire pit if you'd like to.
