We where staying in Murrieta near the lake and our friend was skeptical to spending holidays on campsites. Anyway we went for a walk and all of a sudden I thought "this doesn't feel like camping!". We were close enough to take the shuttle bus to the campsite so no need to rent trailers or vans etc.
We were in the campground before 7 AM the next morning too and it looked like a lot of other campgrounds we were at, only the kids did not seem to have any fears of what comes with going someplace other than a house for a holiday.
We did get a reservation at another place but when we went there the kids had their normal fun, i.e ; riding on the water rides which I can't say were not fun and the kids loved being in the area but that was what they say when they were tired, so for us the campground was perfect! Also if you need an RV with full hook ups they will give you a free RV for the day.
They have laundry and showers and if you get there before they open you can use a couple of the washers to wash your stuff. We don't know if they have showers available after they close but the pool was fun and seemed like a nice size.
They have a playground in the area that the kids loved just for the fun of running around and trying to get as dirty as possible and then getting off and having to shower, it was a fun day! There were only 3 full hook ups, and 2 have private shower stalls. The people that take care of the campground were awesome. The woman we first spoke to could not have been a nicer person.
