The Campground at the Red Rock Lake area, where the BLM will be taking up residence, has a very good weather shelter program that is being expanded with additional tents.
This area also has many camp fire sites that can be used when you have nothing else in the campground including a small fire that can be lit if you want. The closest campground to the campground is the campsite on the edge of a campground that is about 100 yards away from the campsite at the Red Rock Lake Area with a campsite that is only 50 yards away.
Make sure you have your car in tip top to keep it clean and to make sure it isn't rusted from any dirt on the road. If you're staying in the Blue Rock area of the city then bring along water with you.
