We came to Johns Landing Camping Ground campsite near the factory and it was the beginning of our stay in Canberra Queanbeyan. I would never expect that could be so big and so good! This place is amazing.
The kitchen area is huge, the bathroom is enormous. The beds were great. Just what we needed after a 8 hour drive.
The kitchen was great. The hot shower and the heater were perfect. We felt at home there. The next morning we had some breakfast and set off for the day.
We were to meet another couple on the way. As we were traveling in the truck through a country town and were driving along side this road, we were stopped by a policeman with a clipboard. I read his name tag: "Rita." What an honor for him, it was for all of us. We knew that he was the driver of the "D" division of the state police. I got into the truck with him and his other partner.
We were all laughing about how they had come to the end of the road, as they did our route. We told them how much fun it had been They drove us to the turn off to the farm, to drop us off.
They also took us back to the turnoff back into town and told us where to stay in Queanbeyan. We thanked them profusely, jumped into the car and drove off to the farm.
We walked into the farm, which was amazing. I was overwhelmed to see how much work had obviously gone into building and maintaining this farm. It was full of fruit trees and orchards, and rows upon rows of vegetables too.
There was even a big chicken shed. We walked past one row of fresh vegetables and I said, "Yum!" to which John replied, "They're for the chooks.
In the front yard there were three different apple trees and an apricot tree. There was also a large amount of shade and a shed made for sitting and reading.
We were given an awesome welcome in the form of a meal of baked chicken stew, potatoes and vegetables and hot fruit tea. The farm owners were John and Margaret.
They are the nicest and most welcoming couple we've ever met. John is very easy going and we just felt at ease with them. We also learned we had neighbours who were also at the farm as they had seen us driving back and forth on Sunday and had come in to get cold.

Point Glorious Camping Grounds in Eerwah Vale, QLD left an impression during my recent visit with my sister. We enjoyed the campfire ghost stories event and cherish the memories we made. Book early as popularity is high. This serene and picturesque site offers fishing, swimming, hiking for all. Don't miss this hidden gem!
As I sit here, reminiscing on those warm summer nights spent at Point Glorious Camping Grounds, my heart aches with the realization that such magical memories are now but a distant past. Instead of the enchanting atmosphere described by Adelaide Franklin, our experience was marred by an unfortunate lack of personal space and overcrowding during peak hours.
While the onsite activities were certainly appealing, we found ourselves longing for moments of solitude where we could simply bask in the serene surroundings without feeling as though we were sharing our slice of paradise with every passer-by. In this aspect, Point Glorious Camping Grounds fell short of providing an experience that truly encapsulates the essence of a hidden gem worth exploring.
Oh, how naive Adelaide Franklin must be to believe that Point Glorious Camping Grounds in Eerwah Vale, QLD is a "hidden gem"! As if the fact that it's fully booked weeks in advance isn't enough of an indication. Let's take a closer look at her glowing review and see if we can find any flaws. Firstly, she raves about the campfire ghost stories event. Now, I don't know about you, but I prefer my camping experiences to be free from spooky encounters. After all, sleeping bags are meant to provide comfort, not terror. But perhaps Adelaide Franklin enjoys being kept up all night by the sound of rustling leaves and creaking branches. Next, she praises the site's fishing and swimming opportunities. Well, I suppose that would be great if the water wasn't infested with leeches and snakes. And what about the fact that the fish are so small they could easily be mistaken for pebbles? But hey, maybe Adelaide Franklin is content with catching nothing but disappointment. And finally, let's not forget her glowing endorsement of the hiking trails. Because who doesn't enjoy getting lost in a dense forest filled with dangerous wildlife and treacherous terrain? At least she'll have plenty of time to contemplate why she ever thought this place was worth visiting. In short, I can't help but wonder what Adelaide Franklin sees in Point Glorious Camping Grounds that others don't. Maybe she's been blinded by its popularity or is just easily impressed. Either way, I prefer my camping experiences to be more. So, if you ask me, this place should be avoided at all costs. Unless, of course, you enjoy being scared out of your wits and risking life and limb in the pursuit of a mediocre camping experience. In which case, by all means, go right ahead. But don't say I didn't warn you.

We spent our days hiking along The Enchanted Forest Trail, getting lost in the enchanting forest and discovering all sorts of hidden gems. One particularly memorable day, we stumbled upon a clearing where a group of fairies was hosting a secret rave. Now, I know what you're thinking - fairies? Really? But trust me, folks, it was legit. They had glow sticks, neon face paint, and even a makeshift dance floor made out of mushrooms. We danced until the sun came up, and let me tell ya, it was a sight to behold. I had always dreamt of going on an adventurous camping trip with my husband, so when we decided to spend a week at Bluff Creek Campground in Kenilworth, I couldn't have been more thrilled. Located at 44 Wilcox Rd, Kenilworth QLD 4574, Australia, the campsite is nestled within the beautiful and serene surroundings of the Kenilworth State Forest.
Upon arriving at Bluff Creek Campground, we were greeted by a warm and friendly atmosphere that instantly made us feel right at home. The staff was exceptionally helpful, providing us with all the necessary information about the campsite and its facilities. They even gave us some valuable tips on exploring nearby trails and attractions.
Our stay at Bluff Creek Campground turned out to be an unforgettable experience - one that we will cherish forever. We decided to embark on a challenging hike through the dense forest, following the trail marked as "Lost in the Wilderness." Little did we know that this journey would become our greatest adventure yet.
As we ventured deeper into the woods, we found ourselves surrounded by towering trees and lush greenery. The sounds of birds chirping and rustling leaves filled the air, creating a soothing symphony that seemed to echo through time itself. However, as we continued along the path, it became increasingly difficult to follow the trail markers.
We soon realized that we had taken a wrong turn and were now completely lost in the wilderness. Panic began to set in as night fell, and we found ourselves without any food or water supplies. My husband and I huddled together for warmth, determined not to give up hope.
It wasn't until the following morning that we heard a faint rustling nearby. To our relief, it was a group of experienced hikers who had come to our rescue. They guided us back onto the correct trail and ensured we made it safely back to camp before nightfall.
Despite our harrowing experience, I cannot express enough gratitude towards Bluff Creek Campground for providing such an incredible base camp for our adventure. The staff's kindness and support during our ordeal will always remain etched in my memory.
In retrospect, I would like to share some tips with future visitors:
1. Always carry sufficient food and water supplies when embarking on a hike.
2. Ensure you have a fully charged mobile phone with you at all times in case of emergencies.
3. Familiarize yourself with the area's topography before setting off on any trails.
4. Always inform someone about your planned route and expected return time.
5. Lastly, remember that nature is unpredictable - be prepared for anything!
In conclusion, Bluff Creek Campground in Kenilworth remains an exceptional destination for those seeking a unique camping experience amidst the pristine beauty of the Australian wilderness. My husband and I are truly grateful for the memories we created during our stay here, despite the challenges we faced along the way. If you're considering a camping trip to this remarkable location, do not hesitate - embrace the adventure and let nature guide you on your journey!
